Multiple VLs

Post by puremusic » Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:12 pm

For those of you who use multiple VLs whether PLGs or VL70ms or VL1s, how do you use them?

Do you just increase the polyphony or do you create more customized single voice patches?

Anyone have some audio examples to share?

If you have multiple VL70m then you are lucky...you can set each VL70m to listen to a specific note (last, first, highest, lowest).... you need to daisy chain the VL70m so that the THRU of one VL70m goes into the IN of the next one...

I would need to check..but I recall that the VL70m manual contains an example on a daisychain setup.

If you stuff 3 PLGVLs into a S90 keyboard, then these are by default acting as poly....

I'm convinced some expert VL users are on this forum to help further...

Sorry...I'm a bit overwhelmed by work due the fact that my new software RESPIRO went live. see www.imoxplus.com

I have a Motif Rack ES with one PLG100-VL card. I was reading up on your program's ability to set up polyphony, and thinking of getting more PLG100s in the future, perhaps with an additional PLG card host.

Just an idea at this stage, unless I see a cheapie PLG100-VL card pop up for sale and grab it on a lark, which is always possible.

P.S. Will you be developing Respiro a lot further in the future or is it near its finished form do you think?

Respiro is grabbing all my attention and that will take several extra months...maybe then I will be able to shift focus....

if you are heading VL poly then I recommend these. Ordered in terms of flexibility and sound capabilities

daisy chain VL70m units
S90 with 3 PLGVLs
MU with 3 PLGVL
