Re: MU?

The Effect editor is designed purely for the VL70m 4 effect blocks... Many Yamaha synths have more effect blocks/parameters..which are not handled by the VL-Wizard. With other words, the effect editor in the VL-Wizard will not handle effects of the MU....only these that have common sysex commands......

Re: 2nd VL Card, Happy + Questions

indeed, the hardware is constraining the midi total notes...it would have been nice if Yamaha would have included a feature like with the VL70m where you can say to which note number it must listen... the VL-Wizard is not doing midi rerouting...I will keep this in mind for the future.. some DAW have...

Re: Terribly Impressed

- the VL-Wizard can is not processing midi in notes, "what comes in, goes out" - poly across multiple VL70m units is possible but poly across yamaha units containing VL cards is NOT. Let me explain - a S90 can contain up to 3 PLGVL cards and can allow 3 note poly. If you play a 4th note then the S90...

Re: Terribly Impressed

Yes, PLGVL is and will always be an underestimated expressive card. You can do lots of magic once you get under the hood. If I had more time then I would invest in DX and AN PLG cards....these babies need a better editor and are very powerful getting proper brass - trumpet out of PLGVL is not easy b...

Re: Multiple VLs

Respiro is grabbing all my attention and that will take several extra months...maybe then I will be able to shift focus....

if you are heading VL poly then I recommend these. Ordered in terms of flexibility and sound capabilities

daisy chain VL70m units
S90 with 3 PLGVLs
MU with 3 PLGVL
